The Telangana Gurukulam Common Entrance Test (TGCET) hall tickets for 2026 have been officially released. Candidates who applied for admission into Class 5, as well as for backlog seats in higher classes, can now download their admit cards from the official website, tgcet.cgg.gov.in.

With the entrance examination scheduled to be held across the state on February 22, 2026, authorities have urged students to download their hall tickets immediately to avoid last-minute technical glitches. This examination is a step for admission into the Social, Tribal, BC, and General Welfare Residential Gurukuls for the academic year 2026-27.

The Telangana Gurukul CET is a state-level competitive exam conducted to admit students into the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS), Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TTWREIS), and MJPTBCWREIS (BC Welfare) schools. These institutions are renowned for providing quality residential education to students from various backgrounds.

While the primary admission drive is for 5th class, the Convenor's latest statement confirms that the TGSET-2026 will also be utilized to fill backlog seats in higher classes (6, 7, 8, and 9) this year. This provides a significant second chance for students looking to enter the Gurukulam system at an advanced stage.

As per the information available, students are often required to report to the center well in advance (usually by 10:00 AM) before the exam commences. Section 144 will be strictly enforced in and around examination centers to maintain order and prevent any unfair practices.

Mandatory Documents to Carry:

Successful candidates will then be called for document verification and counseling, leading to the final allocation of seats in the 603 Gurukulams across the state, which offer nearly 48,000 seats.
