The National Institute of Open Schooling has begun the registration process for the April-May 2026 examinations for Class 10 and Class 12. The application link is now available on the official website, sdmis.nios.ac.in.
Students enrolled in Stream I, Block I for the March/April 2026 exam, along with eligible learners from examinations held before the September/October 2025 public exam, can submit their forms until 20 December 2025. This is the last date to apply without a late fee.
Those who miss this deadline will still be able to register, but with an additional charge. Applications with a late fee of Rs 150 per subject will be accepted from 21 to 31 December 2025. A consolidated late fee of Rs 1600 per student will be charged for applications submitted between 1 and 10 January 2026.
Examination Fee
The examination fee is Rs 300 per subject. For subjects with a practical component, an extra Rs 150 per subject will apply.
Important Requirement for Class 12 Students
Students appearing for the Senior Secondary (Class 12) examination must have a compulsory gap of two years from the year and session in which they passed the Secondary (Class 10) examination. If this two-year gap is not completed, the learner can register for a maximum of four subjects for the April-May 2026 exam, including subjects already passed.
