The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit card for the NIFT Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2026. Candidates who have registered for undergraduate and postgraduate design programmes can download their hall tickets from the official website, exams.nta.nic.in/niftee.

The entrance examination is scheduled to be held on February 8, 2026, in two shifts at centres across the country. The admit card is a mandatory document for appearing in the examination. Candidates must verify all the details printed on it and follow the instructions carefully. Entry to the examination centre will not be permitted without a printed copy of the admit card and a valid photo identity proof.

How to Download NIFT Admit Card 2026

Candidates can follow the steps below to download their admit card:

  1. Visit the official NIFTEE website at exams.nta.nic.in/niftee.
  2. Click on the link for the NIFT 2026 admit card available on the homepage.
  3. Log in using your application number and password or date of birth.
  4. The admit card will appear on the screen.
  5. Download it and take a clear printout for future use.

After downloading the document, candidates should check important details such as their name, roll number, exam date, shift timing, exam centre address and photograph. In case of any error, they should immediately contact the NTA for correction.

Exam Date, Shift Timings and Test Pattern

The NIFT entrance exam will take place on February 8, 2026, in two shifts. The reporting time and exact shift will be mentioned on the admit card, and candidates are advised to arrive on time as late entry may not be allowed.

The General Ability Test (GAT) will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT), while the Creative Ability Test (CAT) will be held in pen and paper mode.

The examination is being conducted for undergraduate courses such as Bachelor of Design (BDes) and Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech), as well as postgraduate courses including Master of Design (MDes), Master of Fashion Management (MFM), and Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech).

Documents to Carry and Exam Day Instructions

Candidates must carry the following documents to the examination centre:

  • Printed copy of the NIFTEE 2026 admit card
  • A valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, or passport
  • Candidates who fail to produce these documents will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Applicants should reach the centre at least by the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. They are not permitted to carry electronic gadgets, calculators, or study materials inside the examination hall.

The NTA has advised candidates to follow the code of conduct printed on the admit card and cooperate with officials at the examination centre to ensure the smooth conduct of the exam.
