The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 was conducted over multiple days to manage the large number of applicants. The BE/BTech (Paper 1) exams were held on 2, 3, 4, 7 and 8 April, while the BArch/BPlanning (Paper 2) exam was conducted on 9 April 2025.

The NTA had released the provisional answer key on 10 April, and allowed candidates to raise objections until 13 April. After reviewing the challenges, the agency has now published the final answer key along with the results.

The JEE Main rank list will decide who can appear for JEE Advanced 2025, which is the entrance exam for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Only the top 2.5 lakh candidates from JEE Main will be eligible to apply. The JEE Advanced exam is expected to be held in June 2025.

For students who do not qualify for JEE Advanced, admission to other top engineering institutes such as NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs is still possible through the JoSAA counselling process, also scheduled to start in June 2025.

Students are advised to check their results carefully and make preparations based on their scores. Those who have qualified for JEE Advanced should begin focused preparation. Others can consider applying to engineering colleges through state-level counselling or private institutions.
