JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern Revised: Here's all you need to know

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced an important update regarding the JEE Main 2025 examination pattern, reverting to the pre-pandemic structure for Section B of the exam. This change comes in response to the recent declaration by the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the end of the global COVID-19 public health emergency.

In the past few years, since JEE Main 2021, candidates were allowed to select 5 questions out of 10 optional questions in Section B for each subject as a measure introduced during the pandemic. However, for JEE Main 2025, this option has been discontinued. Aspiring candidates will now be required to attempt all 5 questions in Section B, without any options for selection, across all three papers – Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech), Paper 2A (B.Arch), and Paper 2B (B.Planning).

The complete examination pattern and further details will be released soon in the JEE Main 2025 Information Bulletin on the official NTA websites. Candidates are advised to regularly visit www.nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.nic.in for updates and to stay informed about any changes regarding the exam.

This shift marks a return to the original exam structure, restoring the full set of compulsory questions for candidates. As the registration process for JEE Main 2025 will commence soon, students should stay updated to ensure a smooth application and preparation process.
