CAT 2024 Registration: The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have started the online registrations for the highly anticipated Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 today, August 01. Aspiring MBA candidates can register for the exam through the official website: iimcat.ac.in.

The CAT 2024 application window closes on September 13, 2024, so interested candidates have ample time to review the eligibility criteria, gather necessary documents, and complete the online registration process.

The IIMs will conduct a computer-based CAT 2024 on November 24th, 2024, in three sessions across 170 test cities nationwide. Candidates can choose their preferred test city during registration.

CAT scores are not only used by IIMs but also by many non-IIM member institutions. A list of these institutions is available on the CAT website. However, it's important to note that IIMs have no role in the selection process of these non-IIM institutions.

CAT Eligibility Criteria 1. A Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognized university is mandatory.

2. Final-year students or those awaiting results can also apply, but they will need to submit a completion certificate before joining the program.

Step 3: Complete the application form with personal, academic, and contact information.

Step 4: Select your preferred test cities for the CAT exam.

Step 5: Pay the application fee online using the available payment options.

Step 6: Make necessary corrections before submitting the application form.

Step 7: Print a copy of the confirmation page for your records.

- Rs. 1250 for SC, ST and PwD category candidates.

- Rs. 2500 for all other categories of candidates

IIMs shortlist candidates for further rounds based on their own criteria, which may include a Writing Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interviews (PI).

Performance in CAT 2024 is a crucial factor in the admission process. Additionally, IIMs consider factors like academic performance, work experience, diversity, and other inputs for shortlisting and ranking candidates.
