Bengaluru traffic alert

The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) has issued traffic advisories for commuters over the next few days, warning of potential congestion due to the festive celebrations at Palace Grounds and ongoing white-topping work on Sarjapur Road. Authorities have urged commuters to plan their travel in advance, leave early, and follow alternative routes where possible.

Traffic congestion expected on Bellary Road

With large-scale Navratri and Durga Puja celebrations scheduled at the Palace Grounds, Bellary Road is expected to experience heavy traffic till October 2. The area is likely to see significant footfall and increased vehicle movement, particularly during evening hours.

Traffic marshals will be deployed to manage the flow, but commuters are advised to expect delays and plan accordingly. Using alternative routes or public transport is recommended to avoid long waiting times.

Sarjapur Road one-side closure for white-topping work

White-topping work will begin on Sarjapur Road from Tuesday, covering the stretch between Automart Junction and Agara Junction.

The work is expected to continue for around two months, during which one side of the road will remain closed. Vehicles will be allowed to travel from Koramangala Jakkasandra towards Agara and the Outer Ring Road. However, traffic from Agara and the Outer Ring Road towards Koramangala Jakkasandra will not be permitted.

Vehicles coming from the Outer Ring Road towards Koramangala can use the Agara Flyover upper ramp, enter the service road at either 19th Main Road or 14th Main Road upper ramp, proceed to 14th Main Road Junction, take a right turn, and continue towards Automart side.

The public is requested to cooperate with traffic personnel, follow signboards, and exercise patience to ensure smooth movement during this period.
