
JSW MG Motor India's Majestor marks the company's entry into what it calls the D+ SUV segment, with a focus on size, off-road hardware and premium features. Built on a 2,950mm wheelbase, the three-row SUV is claimed to be the longest, widest and tallest in its class. With the discontinuation of the Gloster, the Majestor is now the flagship MG SUV in the country. Let us discuss different aspects of the SUV in more detail.
Pre-reservations for the MG Majestor have opened at Rs 41,000. The company has said that full pricing and market availability details will be announced closer to launch. Showroom display and test drives will commence in April 2026, followed by deliveries from May 2026. The Majestor will be offered in Sharp and Savvy variants across 2WD and 4WD drivetrains.

On paper, the Majestor is longer, wider and taller than the Toyota Fortuner Legender, and also drives on a longer wheelbase.
The MG Majestor is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5PS and 478.5Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and will be available in both 2WD and advanced 4WD configurations.
The SUV will be offered in six-seat and seven-seat configurations. Colour options include Pearl White, Concrete Grey, Metal Black and Metal Ash
The Majestor comes equipped with an advanced 4WD system featuring 10 off-road modes. In Auto mode, the vehicle operates in 2WD during regular driving conditions and automatically switches to 4WD when it detects loss of traction.
It is the first in the segment to offer front, rear and centre differential locks. The SUV also gets Crawl Control Mode, 219mm ground clearance and 810mm water wading capability.
The cabin of the Majestor features dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The driver and co-driver seats are ventilated and offer a massage function with memory settings.
Other features include a panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, three-zone climate control, a 12-speaker JBL audio system, dual wireless chargers, a 220V power outlet and over 75 iSMART connected features.
On the safety front, the SUV is equipped with Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree HD camera and electronic stability programme integrating ABS, EBD, TCS and roll movement intervention.
