Maruti Suzuki Victoris crosses 50,000 unit sales in 5 months; beats Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra in January

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris has surpassed the sales mark of 50,000 units in merely five months since its launch. The mid-size SUV, which is the second such model in the current portfolio of the country's largest carmaker after the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, entered the Indian market in September 2025.

Starting at 4,261 units in September 2025, the Victoris reached monthly volumes of 15,240 units in January 2026. The cumulative domestic wholesales in five months have been 51,507 units for the vehicle.

The Victoris is still available at the price it was launched in September 2025. While the entry-level variant can be had for Rs 10,49,844 (ex-showroom), the top-spec variant is available for Rs 19,98,900 (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki Victoris features

On the technology front, the Victoris features a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster with multiple display modes. It is paired with a 10.1-inch SmartPlay Pro X touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system includes an integrated app store, over-the-air updates and Alexa Auto voice assistance. The cabin also gets an eight-speaker Infinity sound system by Harman with Dolby Atmos 5.1 surround sound, comprising four speakers, two tweeters, a centre speaker, a subwoofer and an in-built amplifier. Ambient lighting with 64 customisable colours is offered, along with connected car technology through Suzuki Connect, which provides more than 60 features including e-call, navigation and vehicle status alerts.

Comfort and convenience features include a hands-free powered tailgate with gesture control and anti-pinch protection, an eight-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, ventilated front seats, a wireless smartphone charger with active cooling and multiple USB Type-C fast-charging ports. The climate control display is integrated into the infotainment screen, and the cabin also includes a PM2.5 air filter with AQI display and automatic purification mode.

In terms of safety, the Victoris is equipped with Level 2 ADAS, offering more than 10 driver-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control with curve speed reduction, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. Six airbags are standard across all variants. Additional safety equipment includes all-wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brake with brake hold, tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera with multiple views, front and rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program and hill-hold control.

The Victoris has also scored a five-star safety rating at Bharat NCAP, with full five stars across both adult occupant protection and child occupant protection categories.

Maruti Suzuki Victoris powertrains

Powertrain options include a 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology, a 1.5-litre strong hybrid setup paired with an e-CVT and EV mode, and an ALLGRIP Select 4x4 system offered with a six-speed automatic transmission and multiple terrain modes. The factory-fitted S-CNG variant uses an underbody fuel tank layout to retain boot space. Fuel efficiency figures range from 21.18kmpl for the manual petrol to 28.65kmpl for the strong hybrid e-CVT, while the CNG variant delivers up to 27.02kmpkg.

The Victoris measures 4,360 mm in length, 1,795 mm in width and 1,655 mm in height, with a 2,600 mm wheelbase. It rides on 215/60 R17 tyres and uses a MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam rear setup. The SUV is offered in 10 exterior colour options, including two new shades introduced with this model.
