
Mahindra & Mahindra today opened bookings for two SUVs, the internal combustion engine (ICE) flagship XUV 7XO and the recently-launched XEV 9S. According to the company, the two models garnered 93,689 bookings, valued at over Rs 20,500 crore (calculated at ex-showroom price) till 2 PM.
While customer deliveries of the XUV 7XO started today, the XEV 9S will be delivered from January 26.
The XUV 7XO is priced between Rs 13.66 lakh and Rs 24.92 lakh (ex-showroom). This is introductory pricing applicable to the first 40,000 customer deliveries. The SUV is available in six variants -- AX, AX3, AX5, AX7, AX7T and AX7L. The deliveries that have commenced today are for the top-spec AX7, AX7T and AX7L variants, while the lower-spec variants will be delivered from April onwards.
The Mahindra XUV 7XO is the facelifted version of the Mahindra XUV700. It uses similar powertrains as its predecessor, employing 2.0-litre mStallion TGDi petrol (200hp and 380Nm) and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel (182hp and 420Nm/450Nm) engines with 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT torque-converter options. There is an all-wheel-drive option with select diesel variants. The SUV gets three drive modes -- Zip, Zap and Zoom.
The XEV 9S is Mahindra's third electric SUV be based on the INGLO platform after the BE 6 and the XEV 9e. Priced between Rs 19.95 lakh and Rs 29.45 lakh (ex-showroom), the XEV 9S offers three LFP battery packs -- 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh.
The XEV 9S claims a real-world range of 500km. The SUV supports fast charging, with 20-80% top-ups taking 20 minutes. Power output stands at 210kW for the 79kWh pack, 180kW for the 70kWh pack, and 170kW for the 59kWh pack.
