
Hyundai Motor India has added a new entry-level variant, Era, to the i20 line-up with the premium hatchback now available at a starting price of Rs 5,99,000 (ex-showroom). The Hyundai i20 rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Tata Altroz.
Apart from introducing the new Era variant, the company has revised the price of two existing variants, Magna Executive and Magna. Hyundai has lowered the price of the Magna Executive variant by Rs 12,965 and that of the Magna variant by Rs 12,485.
While the i20 Era is priced at Rs 5,99,000 (ex-showroom), the i20 Magna Executive can now be had at Rs 6,73,900 (ex-showroom) and the i20 Magna at Rs 6,99,900 (ex-showroom). Earlier, Magna Executive was the base variant.

The i20 Era variant is equipped with six airbags, a fully digital instrument cluster, front and rear skid plates, body-colour outside rear-view mirrors and door handles, a Type-C USB charger and telescopic steering.
The i20 Magna Executive variant includes features such as a digital instrument cluster, front and rear skid plates, shark fin antenna, tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic headlamps, telescopic steering, keyless entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs and steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls. The i20 Magna variant adds bells and whistles like an electric sunroof, LED daytime running lamps, rear AC vents and a front armrest with storage.
Hyundai is also offering a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a rear camera, as a dealer-installed option priced at Rs 14,999. This package comes with a three-year warranty.
The premium hatchback continues to be powered by the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine, which delivers 83PS with a 5-speed manual transmission and 88PS with an iVT automatic, and 114.7Nm of peak torque. Just for reference, the i20 tops out at Rs 10,57,000 (ex-showroom).
The Hyundai i20 continues to be sold with a standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000km. The model has been on sale in India for over 15 years and has recorded cumulative sales of more than 14,70,000 units in the country.
