
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) today launched the new Punch EV at an introductory price of Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom), offering a claimed real-world range of around 355km and a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty for the first owner.
The company said the new Punch electric SUV is aimed at accelerating mass adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by addressing affordability, range confidence, charging convenience and battery assurance.
The Punch EV is available in three personas -- Smart, Adventure and Empowered -- at a starting price of Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Following are the variant-wise Tata Punch EV prices (ex-showroom).

Tata.ev is also offering a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option starting at Rs 6.49 lakh with a battery EMI of Rs 2.6 per km. According to the company, the BaaS price is applicable to the Smart 30kWh variant, assuming vehicle usage of 60km per day, excluding charging cost, and is available for personal users only.
The new Punch EV is built on the acti.ev architecture. It is offered with a 40kWh LFP prismatic cell battery pack delivering a claimed real-world range of around 355km and an ARAI-certified range of 468km. The model is also be available with a smaller 30kWh battery pack option.
With fast charging support, the battery can charge from 20% to 80% in 26 minutes, the company said. It can also add 135km of real-world range in 15 minutes.
The Punch EV comes with a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty covering unlimited kilometres for the first owner on the 40kWh battery pack. The term 'lifetime' refers to a period of 15 years from the first date of registration.
Tata.ev's charging network covers over 2.3 lakh charging points across 1,500 cities through home, community and partner public charging. The company has aggregated over 30,000 public chargers in collaboration with more than 30 charge point operators.
It has also curated a '.ev Verified' charger network comprising over 2,500 fast charging points across 500 cities and towns, and established over 450 charging points across 130 mega charging hubs on 80 highways, with plans to expand to 800 charging points.
