Prez, VP, PM pay homage to Ambedkar

New Delhi, Dec 6 (PTI) President Pratibha Patil, Vice President Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today paid homage to Bhim Rao Ambedkar, father of the Indian constitution, on his 56th death anniversary. Patil offered floral tributes at the statue of Ambedkar at Sansad Bhavan Lawns in Parliament House complex. Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, UPA chairperson and Congress president Sonia Gandhi and BJP leader L K Advani also also paid floral tributes to him. Among others who offered tributes were Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Social Justice Minister Mukul Wasnik, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal and Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde.
