Haryanvi film actor Jagat Singh Jakhar dies

Jhajjar, Dec 17 (PTI) Jagat Singh Jakhar, hero of the first superhit Haryanvi film 'Chandrawal', died today at a Chandigarh hospital following a lever infection. He was 55. The actor is survived by wife and two sons. The actor's last rites were performed at his native village in Sunderheti. Haryanvi film artists, stage performers, social activists and political workers of various parties attended the funeral. Jakhar had acted in over a dozen Haryana films including Muklawa, Shaniture, Chadro and Chandrawal. He was shooting a TV serial 'Sapne' while his home production film 'Anpadh Jat' was also ready to release.
