Chevrolet Trailblazer production begins in Thailand

Chevrolet has begun productions of its new Trailblazer SUV at its Thailand plant in Rayong. The Trailblazer was shown in last year's Dubai Auto Show and has GM's new global body-on-frame midsize truck architecture with a seven seat configuration. The Trailblazer features an 180PS 2.8-litre Duramax turbo-diesel engine on the top of the line LTZ and a 150PS 2.5-litre engine on the lower specced variants. GM will be offering the Trailblazer with either a five-speed manual or 6-speed auto transmission. The Trailblazer will be available in seven exterior colours.

GM will sell the Trailblazer SUV in Thailand first and then export it to Southeast Asia and 50 other markets.
