HCL Tech advances 6% on strong numbers

HCL Technologies' net profit rose by 41.6% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 854 crore in the quarter ended June 2012, beating analysts expectations. Analysts on an average had expected net profit at Rs 675 crore.

HCL Technologies' net profit rose by 41.6% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 854 crore in the quarter ended June 2012, beating analysts expectations. Analysts on an average had expected net profit at Rs 675 crore.


 


Its revenues (in dollar terms) went up by 3% to USD 1,079.6 million from USD 1047.9 million during the same period. Revenues (in rupee terms) increased 13.5% to Rs 5,919 crore in the fourth quarter of FY12.


 

At 09:19 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 508.45, up Rs 26.85, or 5.58%. It touched an intraday high of Rs 512.50 and an intraday low of Rs 504.
 
It was trading with volumes of 146,414 shares, compared to its 5-day average of 30,969 shares, an increase of 372.78%.
 
In the previous trading session, the share closed up 0.83% or Rs 3.95 at Rs 481.60.
