Tatas can invest in WB, but on people's terms: Mamata

Mamata Banerjee promises to return 400 acre of Singur land and also invites Tata to reinvest in West Bengal, reports CNBC-TV18

Upon taking charge as Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee seems to be in a rush to please all. While she has promised to return part of the Singur land to the farmers, she has also welcomed the Tatas back to Bengal.


A CNBC-TV18 report says that Mamata has vowed to return 400 acres of Singur land to the farmers. The erstwhile government had pegged the land at 181 acres, the channel reports.


This comes along with her invite to Tata Motors to again invest in the state,
