Maruti Suzuki firms up plan to launch MPV by early 2012

Maruti Suzuki is all set to enter the fast growing multi purpose vehicle (MPV) market. The company is planning to launch the MPV based on the R-3 concept showcased at the Indian Auto Expo in 2010.

Maruti Suzuki is all set to enter the fast growing multi purpose vehicle (MPV) market. The company is planning to launch the MPV based on the R-3 concept showcased at the Indian Auto Expo in 2010. Currently, there are two big players in this segment that includes Mahindra Xylo and Toyota Innova. The company plans to launch it by early 2012.

Maruti MPV is likely to be priced lower than Toyota Innova.  Maruti Suzuki R-3 is likely to drive in this year and will be priced in the range of Rs 8 to 10 lakhs.
