The Economic Times newspaper today has reported that online classifieds portal Quikr is in talks to buy Housing.com for around Rs 1100 crore, well below the latter’s peak valuation of Rs 1500 crore during the last round of fund raising in November 2014.

CNBC-TV18’s Kritika Saxena accessed an e-mail Housing.com’s controversial CEO Rahul Yadav sent to employees on the issue.

Guys,

Times Group is writing some story tom that Housing is sold or getting sold to some other company.

After Times Group's buzz, dozens of other media journalists also started contacting us the story.

So to have fun, to 50% journalists I've replied 'NO' and to other 50% a 'YES' :D

Hopefully you'll have a cocktail of news in the morning :)

Have fun :D

Cheers,

Rahul
