‘Our missiles are not far away’: Pakistani leader threatens military response if India attacks Bangladesh

Usmani framed his remarks around what he described as India’s “Akhand Bharat ideology,” claiming Pakistan would not accept Bangladesh being pushed into “India’s ideological dominance.”

A youth leader from Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif’s party threatened military action if India targets Bangladesh, proposed a Pakistan-Bangladesh military alliance, and accused India of destabilising the region, escalating tensions and reckless rhetoric.

A youth wing leader of Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s party has issued an open threat against India while dragging Bangladesh into an incendiary regional narrative, underscoring the increasingly reckless rhetoric emerging from Pakistan’s political ecosystem.

Kamran Saeed Usmani, a leader of the youth wing of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League, warned that Pakistan would militarily intervene if India were to take any action against Bangladesh. “If India attacks Bangladesh’s autonomy, if anyone dares to look at Bangladesh with ill intent, then remember that the people of Pakistan, the Pakistani armed forces, and our missiles are not far away,” Usmani said in a video statement.

Usmani framed his remarks around what he described as India’s “Akhand Bharat ideology,” claiming Pakistan would not accept Bangladesh being pushed into “India’s ideological dominance.” He went on to allege that even if India “casts an evil eye” on Bangladesh’s autonomy, Pakistan would respond with force.

Escalating further, Usmani claimed that Pakistan had previously cornered India and could do so again. He sketched a hypothetical military scenario in which Pakistan attacks India from the west, Bangladesh opens a front from the east, and China remains engaged along Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh.

In a separate video, Usmani openly called for a formal military alliance between Pakistan and Bangladesh, proposing reciprocal basing rights. “Our proposal is that Pakistan and Bangladesh should form a military alliance. Pakistan should set up a military base in Bangladesh, and Bangladesh should set up a military base in Pakistan,” he said.

He accused India’s Border Security Force of “disturbing” Bangladesh and alleged that New Delhi was attempting to dismantle the country to establish a Hindu state under the Akhand Bharat concept. The claims mirror long standing Pakistani propaganda narratives that seek to externalise internal instability in the region.

Usmani also attempted to cloak his proposal in geostrategic language, arguing that such an alliance would link Bangladesh’s ports with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. “Those who control ports and seas rule the world,” he claimed, suggesting that a Pakistan Bangladesh military partnership would dramatically shift regional power equations.

The remarks come amid growing concerns in India over renewed Pakistani intelligence activity and deepening ties between Islamabad and Dhaka under Bangladesh’s interim leadership. Analysts have repeatedly warned that provocative rhetoric from Pakistan, combined with attempts to draw Bangladesh into hostile posturing against India, risks destabilising an already fragile regional security environment.

Usmani’s statements, delivered without any apparent restraint or official pushback, highlight how figures linked to Pakistan’s ruling party continue to indulge in militaristic threats and conspiracy driven narratives, dragging neighbouring countries into dangerous hypotheticals with little regard for diplomatic reality or regional stability.
