Thai media identified the man as 52 year old Raj Jasuja. The incident happened in the early hours of December 27, 2025, near Pattaya’s well known Walking Street, an area packed with bars, clubs and late night entertainment. In videos that have since gone viral, Jasuja can be seen being dragged out of his car and attacked by a group of transgender women, while bystanders look on.
People who witnessed the incident told rescue workers that it started as a heated argument between Jasuja and one transgender sex worker near the entrance to Walking Street. What began as a shouting match quickly got out of hand. Within minutes, more people became involved, and the argument turned into a physical fight, with both sides chasing and hitting each other.
Rescue staff from the Sawang Borriboon Dhammastan Foundation arrived at the scene around 5.30 am. They found Jasuja with injuries to his face and the back of his head. He was treated at the roadside before being taken to Pattamakun Hospital for further care. Police have said they will ask him to file a formal complaint once he is well enough, which will allow them to move forward with their investigation.
The footage spread quickly across social media, drawing strong reactions. Many users said they were shocked by the level of violence and worried about the man’s condition. Others focused on what may have led to the fight, including claims that the dispute started over payment for services.
For now, Thai police have not given a detailed account of what they believe happened, saying they are waiting to question the injured man and review all the evidence. Meanwhile, Jasuja’s condition is said to be stable.
Pattaya, on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast, is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations. While it is famous for its beaches, it is also known for a nightlife scene that has, from time to time, been linked to similar disputes involving visitors and local workers.
Local officials and people working in tourism have said the incident should serve as a warning for visitors to be more careful, especially late at night in busy entertainment areas. They have advised tourists to avoid arguments, be clear about money matters, and contact the police or their hotel if a situation starts getting out of hand. Pattaya still welcomes millions of visitors every year, and most trips are trouble free, but cases like this show how quickly things can go wrong in crowded nightlife spots.
