Recently released documents from the United States Department of Justice have revealed new details about the health history of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including chronic hormonal deficiencies and past sexually transmitted infections, according to medical records contained in the latest batch of government disclosures.

Test results covering several years show that Epstein’s testosterone levels consistently ranged between 125 and 142 nanograms per decilitre, well below the 300 ng/dL threshold defined as clinically low by the American Urological Association.

Epstein acknowledged the prolonged nature of the condition in written communications with his doctors, stating that the readings had remained "the same for ten years." In an email sent in April 2015 at 3 a.m., he questioned whether his low testosterone "has caught up" to him.

Doctors recommended hormone-based treatments, including medications such as Clomid. However, Epstein discontinued the therapy in 2016, citing side effects including fluid retention and weight gain.

The records also indicate diagnoses of gonorrhoea and other infections. In a 2016 email to a New York-based physician, Epstein said he had tested positive for parasites and a sexually transmitted disease and noted that he had been treated with antibiotics.

Additional documents show that Epstein received promotional emails for sexual enhancement products and had sought information related to sperm preservation.

Epstein died in August 2019 while in federal custody, where he was being held ahead of trial on sex trafficking charges. The medical details emerged as part of a broader release of records known as the Epstein Files, made public under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

US authorities have released millions of pages of material connected to Epstein, including emails, photographs, videos and other communications gathered over decades of investigations. The disclosures include court records, grand jury materials, travel documents and extensive electronic correspondence.
