Chirag Paswan also hinted at quitting his role in the central cabinet and said that he has always prioritised the development of Bihar -- something he believes would not be possible staying in Delhi.
The assembly elections in Bihar are expected to be held in October-November this year. The main battle is likely to be between the National Democratic Alliance [NDA] and the Mahagathbandhan.
Paswan said that Uttar Pradesh’s progress under a double-engine government has greatly influenced him and presents a clear roadmap for Bihar’s future
"FSSAI monitors food products and we are trying to level up to global standards. So we are making regulations stricter so that companies don't misuse advertisement...companies can't take a short cut and grow in India. We are looking at strict norms and penalties for firms that violate safety standards of food products," Paswan said at News 18's Powering Bharat Summit.
Union Minister Chirag Paswan on Friday heaped praises on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the latter resides in his heart.

Paswan, whose Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) is an NDA constituent but not a part of the government in the state, said he learnt about "irregularities on a large scale" in the exams from close relatives who were among the more than four lakh candidates.
"I wish to reiterate that Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) is with the students on the issue. We believe that their voices must be heard and a solution must be arrived at," the Hajipur MP said.
