YouTube Music testing AI Radio feature that lets you create custom playlists with the help of AI

YouTube Music is reportedly testing a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature that lets you create custom radio with the help of custom user prompts. As reported by 9to5Google, a Reddit user, ‘kater_pro’ found out about this feature, which is currently in a limited testing phase. With this AI feature, users will have the ability to create custom radio stations by describing the music they want to hear.

Currently, YouTube Music users need to manually write the track’s name to find specific songs or artists. However, the Reddit user also shared some screenshots explaining how this AI feature will work in YouTube Music. He stated that once this feature is available for all YouTube Music users, an “Ask for music any way you like” card will pop up in the home feed of the app.

There will also be a card labelled ‘Ask for music any way you like,’ that will open a chat interface. Users will then see a text box where they can either type their request or use voice commands to tell the app what kind of music they want to hear.

It will also include a playlist title along with a short description of the radio station, according to the music users want to hear.  At the bottom, several prompt suggestions for other music genres will also be displayed. The name of the newly created radio station will be similar to the custom prompt entered by the user, and it will also have a label written as ‘Created for you’ with a short description.
