Vivo has teased the launch of a new Y-series smartphone in Vietnam, which is confirmed to be the Y31D. The company has revealed several key design elements and durability-focused features of the handset, ahead of its official unveiling. Previously, the purported Vivo Y31D was spotted on the Eurofins certification database. It will be the third handset in the company’s Y31 series. However, like the Vivo Y31 and Y31 Pro, the Vivo Y31d may not arrive in India.
Vivo Y31d: Expected specifications, design
Vivo has shared a new teaser poster of the Vivo Y31d handset, confirming that it will be backed by a large 7,200mAh BlueVolt battery. The smartphone is also expected to arrive with support for 44W fast charging. Further, the teaser poster confirms that the handset will have an ‘IP69+’ rating for dust and water resistance, SGS 5-Star Premium Standard certification, and MIL-STD 810H durability compliance.
The Vivo Y31d teaser also reveals the phone's back design, confirming that the handset will have a patterned finish and a squarish camera module at the top left corner, which houses two camera lenses, an LED flash, and a ring light. Previous leaks and reports suggest that the Vivo Y31d might be powered by the Snapdragon 685 SoC. The smartphone will also boot with Origin OS 6 out of the box, which is based on Android 16.
Further, X tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz) has claimed the Vivo Y31d might launch in January 2026. However, Vivo could skip its India launch. Earlier this year, Vivo launched the Vivo Y31 5G and Vivo Y31 Pro 5G smartphones in the country. Both phones are available for under Rs 20,000 in the market. The Vivo Y31 5G comes with a 6.68-inch 120Hz LCD screen, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, and a 6,500mAh battery with 44W fast charging. Meanwhile, the Vivo Y31 Pro 5G offers a bigger 6.72-inch Full-HD+ display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, and a similar 6,500 mAh battery.
