The Boys: Trigger Warning, the first video game set in the universe of the multi-Emmy Award-winning TV show “The Boys”, has a release date. The VR stealth action game will launch on Meta Quest on March 26, 2026, developer ARVORE and publisher Sony Pictures Virtual Reality announced. The Boys video game will also come to PlayStation VR2, but later.
In The Boys: Trigger Warning, you play as Lucas Costa. Lucas’ life changes for the worse when the Armstrongs, a family of Vought Superheroes, get involved in his affairs, leading to carnage you can expect in this universe created by writer Garth Ennis. The Boys give Lucas a chance to even the score with the Armstrongs by equipping him with powers. Prepared to mete out a violent retribution, Lucas gets ready for an underground fight against Vought and its Supes. He has Butcher and Mother’s Milk as his guides, and he will show no mercy to the Armstrongs.
The Boys: Trigger Warning makes allowance for both stealth-based and straight-up chaotic action. Lucas can use telekinesis to crush, pull and even fling enemies. Assisted by temporary powers, he can use hand blades and shoot lasers from his eyes for a short time. He can also employ heavy-duty camouflage for stealth. Players can expect the boss fights to extend the definition of brutality and carnage to a new level.
The narrative-based The Boys action game allows players to explore Vought’s corporate machine, “from The Seven’s pristine 99th floor to the bowels of Voughtland,” said the developers.
The Boys: Trigger Warning features voice performances by Laz Alonso (Mother’s Milk), Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy), Colby Minifie (Ashley Barrett) and P.J. Byrne (Adam Bourke).
Speaking about the first official The Boys game, Ricardo Laganaro, Chief Creative Officer at ARVORE, said in a press statement: “Creating a game set in The Boys universe, our team focused on delivering an experience that felt authentic to the show while giving players a true superhero experience that wouldn’t be possible outside of [virtual reality]. Thanks to Sony Pictures Entertainment and the show creators, we’ve created something incredibly rare to see in game adaptations for such iconic [intellectual properties]. We can’t wait to see how fans interact with the story and characters we’ve added to this franchise.”
