Samsung introduced the first beta update of its One UI 8 operating system (OS), based on Android 16, at the end of last month for the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones. It was available for users in the US, the UK, Germany, and South Korea. However, two weeks later, the company rolled out the second beta update of One UI 8, adding two new markets.
Samsung’s One UI 8 beta 2 update: Eligible devices, changelog
As per user posts on Samsung’s Community Forum and tipster Tarun Vats on X, Samsung has released the One UI 8 beta 2 for Galaxy S25 series smartphones in India, South Korea, the UK, Germany, and Poland. This Android 16 update comes with firmware versions S938NKSU4ZYF3, S938NOKR4ZYF3, or S938NKSU4BYF3 for users in different regions, and brings several bug fixes, performance improvements, and some new features.
The One UI 8 beta 2 update is around 1.2GB in size and brings the latest June security patch. It also adds a user feedback feature to interpreter performance and offers a fix for several common issues, like the Now brief text misalignment, widget size on the lock screen, and fingerprint recognition screen failure.
Further, users can expect improvements to the battery widget icon and the resolution of an issue related to low volume during Bluetooth calls in vehicles. Some other tweaks include wider use of the Back Swipe Preview when using gesture navigation, a ‘text to image’ AI generator in Samsung Keyboard, and other enhancements. Interested Galaxy S25 series smartphone users in the mentioned regions can join the One UI 8 beta programme via the Samsung Members app by logging in with their Samsung Account.
