Poco Pad 5G to launch soon: Date, features and all we know so far

Poco is set to launch its first tablet, the Poco Pad 5G in the Indian market soon. It has been listed on Flipkart with a few key details and specifications. Moreover, Poco India’s head, Himanshu Tandon also shared a new tweet on social media platform X and confirmed that the Poco Pad 5G will launch on August 23.

Like most other smartphones or accessories launched by the company, the POCO Pad 5G will be sold exclusively through Flipkart. The Flipkart landing page says the launch will happen at 12 PM on August 23. The tablet was teased in Cobalt Blue and Pistachio Green shades alongside a keyboard and a stylus.

Like the global model, which was launched in May, the Poco Pad 5G in India is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. The Flipkart microsite also reveals that the upcoming tablet will have a 12.1-inch with a 120Hz Adaptive Sync refresh rate and 600 nits of maximum brightness.

It is also confirmed to have a large 10,000 mAh battery with support for 33W charging. Additionally, it the Poco Pad 5G will have quad speakers with Dolby Vision certification. It will also have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

As for the optics, the tablet may boast an 8MP rear and 8MP front camera. Coming to connectivity, the POCO Pad may offer Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, a microSD card slot (for storage expansion up to 1.5TB), and a USB Type-C port. The Poco Pad 5G shares a lot of specifications with the recently launched Redmi Pad Pro, and is expected to be priced similarly to it between Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000 in India
