Lenovo unveils ThinkBook 16 Gen 7, IdeaPad 5X 2-in-1, IdeaPad Slim 5X Copilot+ laptops with Snapdragon X Plus SoC

Lenovo has launched three new Copilot+ laptops at IFA 2024 in Berlin. These new mobile PCs run on the Snapdragon X Plus octa-core chipset and offer several AI features.

Lenovo has announced new Copilot+ PCs at IFA 2024 in Berlin. The Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 7, IdeaPad 5X 2-in-1, and IdeaPad Slim 5X are all powered by Snapdragon X Plus octa-core chipset and have a dedicated Copilot button to access exclusive artificial intelligence (AI) features from Microsoft’s chatbot.

Lenovo’s new Copilot+ PCs: Price, availability

The Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 will have a starting price of EUR 819. It will be available globally next month and will be offered in a single Luna Grey color shade. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 5X 2-in-1 and IdeaPad Slim 5X have a starting price tag of EUR 999 and EUR 899 respectively.

Both laptops will be available from this month. The IdeaPad 5X 2-in-1 is available in a Luna grey colorway, while the IdeaPad Slim 5X is available in Abyss Blue and Cloud Grey colour shades.

Lenovo’s new Copilot+ PCs: Specs and features

The Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 is one of the cheapest CoPilot+ Snapdragon-powered PCs currently. It comes with an octa-core Snapdragon X Plus CPU with integrated Adreno GPU and Qualcomm Hexagon NPU with up to 45 TOPS (trillion operations per second) for pushing multiple AI tasks.

You get up to 1TB SSD storage and 32GB RAM options. Prospective buyers can also choose between two types of 16-inch screens, with either 350 nits or 300 nits with 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. It packs an 84Wh battery with 65W charging support via USB Type-C port.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5x and IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 also come with similar processing power. The Lenovo IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 comes with a 14-inch Full HD+ multi-touch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 400nits peak brightness. This convertible Copilot+ laptop is packed with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage.

On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5X has a 14-inch WUXGA display with 400 nits of peak brightness and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It has a MIL-STD-810H durability rating and comes with up to 32GB RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.
