A John Wick game is under development! During the February Sony State of Play event, developer Saber Interactive revealed that they are working on a PS5-exclusive, AAA John Wick title that will blur the line between movies and video games.

As per Jesus Iglesias, Game Director at Saber Interactive, the upcoming John Wick game will take place “during a specific period within the John Wick timeline.”

The developers said that they were working closely with director Chad Stahelski, Keanu Reeves and Lionsgate to create an adrenaline-fueled experience that fits into the world of John Wick. Writers at Saber Interactive, Chad Stahelski and Lionsgate are working on the game’s story together. It will feature an original gameplay narrative for a specific time period in John Wick’s life. The John Wick game will feature iconic characters from the action film franchise, plus introduce new ones, too.

As per the developers, the John Wick title will incorporate signature elements from the Keanu Reeves-led action franchise, like the unique camerawork, the bold and cinematic environments, the gun-fu action and driving experiences. The John Wick PS5 game will feature a distinct combat system that "faithfully mimics" the fighting styles showcased in the movies.

The John Wick game’s official title and release date have not been confirmed yet. The developers promise more details in the future.

Saber Interactive has made several movie-to-video game adaptations.
