Instagram is reportedly suffering from an outage. Several users from across the country have reported facing issues while accessing the Meta-owned photo and video-sharing platform and have reported the outage on social media platform X.
Downdetector, the crowd-sourced outage tracking platform, has also received multiple reports regarding the ongoing Instagram outage.
Issues users are facing with Instagram
Several users have posted on X that they are getting a “Something went wrong” error message on the Instagram app. The problem appears to have affected both Android and iOS versions of the app. Some users have received an “Unexpected error occurred” error message on the app.
The web version of Instagram also appears to be affected by the ongoing outage with the same “Something went wrong” error message.
All in all, most of the users are unable to access the social media service across all platforms be it their phone, tablet or web.
Talking about Downdetector’s report, around 64% of total reports are about facing issues with the Login, 25% are for Server connection issues and the remaining appears to be for the app.
Meta hasn’t acknowledged the outage
At the time of writing the article, Meta hasn’t acknowledged the ongoing Instagram outage. Neither it has revealed any specific reason behind the ongoing issues.
