A post on social media has gone viral after claiming that a man has been sleeping outside Tata Consultancy Services’ (TCS) Sahyadri Park office in Pune, saying he hasn’t been paid for four months.
The man, identified as Saurabh More, shared a handwritten note where he said he returned to work on July 29 but found his employee ID and system access still blocked. He claimed that HR had assured him his salary would be credited by July 31, but that didn’t happen.
In his note, More wrote, “I have informed HR I don’t have money and will be forced to sleep and live outside TCS on footpath. HR has not responded to that and kept quiet. Hence I am living on footpath since 29th July 2025, in front of TCS.”

The post was shared by the page Being Punekar Official and quickly gained traction. One user commented, “I saw him myself this morning. The security guards said he’s been sleeping here since last night. He said he hasn’t received his salary in four months. Even after meeting HR, the issue wasn’t resolved.”
Now, TCS has responded to the incident. In an exclusive statement to Moneycontrol, the company said the employee had been absent from work without authorization, which led to his salary being put on hold.
“This is a case of unauthorized absence where the employee has been absent from the office. In accordance with standard procedure, payroll was suspended during this period,” TCS said. “The employee has now reported back and requested reinstatement. We have provided him with accommodation for now and are supporting him in addressing his situation in a fair and constructive manner.”
While the company has clarified its side, the incident has sparked a wider discussion online about salary delays, employee mental health, and the real-life consequences of financial stress.
