Google has removed the new Daily Hub feature from its Pixel 10 series, less than two weeks after the phones went on sale. The AI-driven hub, launched in public preview, was designed to combine weather, calendar events, and personalised online recommendations. Google says it is pausing the rollout to refine the experience and will reintroduce an improved version at a later date.
In a statement to 9to5Google, the company confirmed: “To ensure the best possible experience on Pixel, we’re temporarily pausing the public preview of Daily Hub for users. Our teams are actively working to enhance its performance and refine the personalised experience. We look forward to reintroducing an improved Daily Hub when it’s ready.”
Daily Hub debuted as a central dashboard on the Pixel 10 lineup, showing calendar entries, Magic Cue prompts, and personalised content suggestions. It also surfaced media recommendations powered by the system behind Google Play Collections, spanning music, podcasts, and YouTube. While some features like podcast suggestions were functional, YouTube Shorts results were inconsistent.
Not every Pixel 10 owner had access to Daily Hub during the preview period. Reports suggested that even some Pixel 10 Pro XL users never received the feature. As of now, Daily Hub has disappeared from the Discover feed, At a Glance widgets, and lockscreen integrations.
The final section of Daily Hub highlighted topics users might want to plan around, opening into the Gemini app with a pre-filled prompt. However, its overall usefulness was mixed, and Google appears to be reworking it before attempting a wider release.
