Google’s next mid-range phone, the Google Pixel 10a, may be closer to launch than expected. A new leak suggests that the phone could be unveiled as early as February 17, which would be a notable shift from Google’s usual timeline. For comparison, the Google Pixel 9a was launched on March 19 last year.
Along with a possible launch date, the leak also points to European pricing details. According to a tipster on X, the Pixel 10a could be priced at around €500 for the 128GB version, which roughly translates to Rs 52,000. The 256GB variant is said to cost about €600, or close to Rs 63,000. While there is no official confirmation yet, the timing of this leak is interesting, as the Pixel 10a has been appearing more frequently in online reports.
Just a day earlier, what appear to be official renders of the Pixel 10a were leaked, offering a first look at the phone’s design. Based on these images, the Pixel 10a looks almost identical to its predecessor. It is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup placed inside the same pill-shaped camera module seen on the Pixel 9a. The module is said to sit flush with the back panel, maintaining the clean look Pixel phones are known for.
The front design also seems familiar. The phone could come with flat edges, rounded corners, and a punch-hole display. The bezels are expected to be evenly spaced, though slightly thicker than what you would see on premium models. As for colours, the Pixel 10a may be offered in Obsidian, Berry, Lavender, and Fog. Google is also rumoured to launch matching colour cases alongside the phone, priced at around €20, or roughly Rs 2,100.
When it comes to specifications, the Pixel 10a does not appear to be a major upgrade. Reports suggest it will feature a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to the Pixel 9a. Under the hood, it is expected to run on Google’s latest Tensor G4 chip, which may offer slightly better performance thanks to higher clock speeds. This could result in faster app launches and smoother everyday use, but not a dramatic leap.
The phone is also tipped to pack a 5,100mAh battery with support for up to 23W charging. It is expected to ship with Android 16 out of the box and could receive up to seven years of software updates, which remains one of the biggest strengths of Pixel phones. Camera details have not been revealed yet, but they may remain unchanged from the previous model.
Based on what has leaked so far, the Pixel 10a does not offer a strong reason for Pixel 9a users to upgrade. The pricing also appears unchanged despite rising component costs, which is worth noting. As always, leaks should be taken cautiously until Google makes things official, but for now, the Pixel 10a looks like a familiar and safe update rather than a bold new step.
