If you are planning to buy a new phone this Republic Day, or even thinking about upgrading the one you already have, the next few days might be worth watching closely. Flipkart’s Republic Day Sale 2026 is set to go live on January 17, and the teaser page has already dropped enough hints to tell shoppers that this won’t be a small markdown event. It’s the first big sale window of the year, the one where people finally press ‘buy now’ on things they’ve been saving up for.

Now, if you want the best chance at grabbing the hottest deals before they vanish from your cart, Flipkart Plus and Flipkart Black members get early access starting January 16. One day may not sound like much, but in the world of online sales, it’s the difference between “order confirmed” and “sold out in your city.”

Flipkart hasn’t officially spelled out every phone that will be discounted, but history gives us a pretty reliable cheat sheet. iPhones that are one or two generations old almost always get the biggest cuts. This year, buyers can expect offers across iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15, and even iPhone 16 models. The big question mark is the iPhone 17, there’s no clarity on that yet. Usually, the newest iPhone doesn’t get dramatic price drops in January sales, but since Flipkart likes to surprise its audience every now and then, people are still hopeful.

Android phone shoppers will have plenty to browse too. Samsung, iQOO, and iQOO devices are expected to show up with solid discounts, especially on phones that fall into the mid-range and premium segments. TWS earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, tablets, and laptops will also be part of the sale. If you’re someone who has been circling a new fridge, washing machine, or home audio device for months, this is the moment when the price tag might finally sound reasonable.

Flipkart has also confirmed bank benefits. HDFC Bank credit card users will get 10 percent instant discount, along with easy EMI options. Other debit and credit cards from partner banks may offer up to 15 percent instant discount, depending on the deal slabs Flipkart reveals closer to the start date.

Timed flash deals are returning too. Formats like rush hour deals, tick tock deals, jackpot deals, and steal deals will run for short bursts, offering deeper discounts for minutes or hours. These are the ones that make people set alarms, refresh pages, and debate their luck in group chats.

This January sale follows the Buy Buy 2025 event from December, which also saw early access perks, bank discounts, and massive interest in iPhones and laptops. With January 17 now officially confirmed, shoppers have a small window to build wishlists, check card limits, and plan their upgrades smartly. More exact prices will roll out soon, but for now, the message is simple, if you are planning to buy a new phone, keep your notifications on.
