DC Retention List 2026: The Delhi Capitals announced the list of players who have been retained and released ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 auction, which is scheduled for next month. The franchise kept 17 players in all.
Capitals made the decision to release Mohit Sharma, Faf du Plessis, Sediqullah Atal, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Manvanth Kumar, and Darshan Nalkande after thorough assessments and discussions.
Axar Patel, KL Rahul, Kuldeep Yadav, Mitchell Starc, and Tristan Stubbs are among the players the team have shown faith in after finishing fifth in the previous season.
The team, on the other hand, traded Donovan Ferreira to Rajasthan Royals and roped in Nitish Rana from the Jaipur-based franchise.

They again enjoyed supreme run between 2019 and 2021, making it to the playoffs twice and finishing runners-up in 2020 — the closest they have reached to an IPL title.
