NASA astronaut Sunita Williams and her crew aboard the International Space Station (ISS) have sent warm Christmas greetings from space, sharing their festive plans.

The video, shared by NASA, features Williams and her colleagues discussing their holiday traditions aboard the ISS. “It’s a special time up here with our space family,” said Williams, highlighting the unique bond shared among the seven crew members.

Williams expressed her joy for the festive season, saying, “What I love about Christmas is the preparation. The anticipation and teamwork make it so special.” She donned a red T-shirt, while three crew members sported Santa hats beside a small Christmas tree.

The crew showcased a few festive items they brought aboard, adding a cheerful touch to the station. One astronaut reflected on the holiday's significance, stating, “Christmas is about spending time with loved ones. Though we’re far from them, we send our heartfelt Merry Christmas wishes.”
The astronaut also acknowledged the dedicated teams supporting the mission from Earth. “A huge team on the ground keeps us connected. Their sacrifices during the holidays make this mission possible,” he added.
Festive Feasts
Another crew member noted that the station had been stocked with food for the celebrations. The team plans to enjoy a special holiday meal while cherishing their camaraderie in space.
