Social media is flooded with discussions about Jeffrey Epstein after the US Department of Justice released over 2 million pages of records, along with 180,000 redacted images, 2,2000 videos linked to the case. A new email reveals Nicole Junkermann, a German countess named in the Epstein Files, allegedly maintained an intimate relationship with the convicted paedophile. One email indicates she once asked him about “having a baby.”

An email dated June 10, 2010, had the subject “Will you have a baby with me?" Although the receiver’s name has been redacted, documents show Junkermann forwarded the same message to Epstein on June 15.

Records show that Junkermann and Epstein knew each other for more than 20 years, exchanged hundreds of emails, and reportedly used ties to boost her career.

Junkermann, a London-based venture capitalist, met prominent figures like French banker Ariane de Rothschild and Leon Black through Epstein.

According to flight logs, Junkermann travelled with Epstein on his private plane on several occasions starting in 2002. The Department of Justice files list their first recidivist interaction in May 2009, while Epstein was serving a prison sentence for procuring minors.

Two months after his release, Epstein served the remainder of his sentence at home. In emails, Junkermann addressed him as “Mr Wonderful” and discussed a plan to connect with him over a call and in person.

In a 2012 email, Epstein wrote that he had “spent time trying to give you my best advice” and later accused Junkermann of showing no “small sign of a two-way street … not one interesting person, gesture”.

She called out Epstein’s “selective memory,” saying she had given him a cashmere bathrobe and jewellery he failed to appreciate. When he offered her a job, Junkermenn asked, “Do you trust me?” to which Epstein replied, “Any reason I shouldn’t?”

Her connection with Epstein helped her earn a nomination for the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders programme. He offered advice on investments, including Carbyne, an Israeli tech firm backed by former MP Ehud Barak.

There is no confirmation that she knew about all of Epstein’s sexual misconduct. Emails show they were close, and in 2019, the Countess wrote back to Epstein’s lawyers, saying, “cross fingers it is just a wave, and it goes away again ... bad timing on the whole Me Too.”
