This 15-year-old boy was banned from LinkedIn because of age. Now, he is their intern

A 15-year-old boy who was banned from LinkedIn has now acquired an internship with the company. Eric Zhu, the founder and CEO of Avioto, shared the “insane plot twist’ on X and the post has gone viral online. The post featured a screenshot of Zhu’s ban from LinkedIn and a picture of him with the company’s logo in the backdrop.

Zhu was banned from LinkedIn as he didn’t meet the minimum age requirement to join the platform. The boy, who is attending high school and even serving as an investor with Bachmanity Capital, has to turn 16 to make an account.

However, months after the same, Zhu was offered an internship at the company according to the post that he shared. In the picture, he was holding a sticky note with LinkedIn’s brandingand his name written on it.

“Insane plot twist,” the caption read.

Since being shared three days ago, the post has amassed over three lakh views. Social media users congratulated Zhu for his achievement in the comments section and were super happy for him.

“Well, well. See how the tables have turned,” a user wrote. Another user commented, “Hahaha, that’s insane.”

“Nice, ultimate flex,” a third user remarked. A fourth user added, “This is beautiful.”

“Welcome to cringe world young man,” another person chimed in.

Meanwhile, in June, Zhu shared his predicament of getting banned from the platform because of his age. “I had to tell my new employee that I got banned from LinkedIn for being 15 years old today…” he shared on X (formerly Twitter. He also posted a screenshot of a message he received from an employee which read: “Hey Eric, I was excited about my new role with your company and I couldn’t tag you in my LinkedIn post for some reason, I think you may have me blocked.”
