Masque in Mumbai walked away with the distinction of being the best restaurant in India

The Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list for 2024 is out, with three Indian restaurants making it to the list. New Delhi’s Indian Accent has maintained its position in the top 50, along with Avartana at ITC Grand Chola in Chennai. Mumbai’s fine dining restaurant Masque, which featured on the list last year, also found a spot this year.

Even though it slipped a few ranks to take the 23rd place this year, Masque remains the top-rated Indian restaurant on the list, beating Indian Accent and Avartana. Founded by Prateek Sadhu and Aditi Dugar in 2016, Masque holds the enviable distinction of being the Best Restaurant in India once again.

Also on the list is Indian Accent in New Delhi for the ninth year in a row. Established in 2009, Indian Accent has been ranking on Asia's Best Restaurants list since 2015. This fine dining destination is known for its inventive take on Indian cuisine. It ranked 26th on the list, three places behind Masque.

Avartana in Chennai is the last Indian restaurant in the top 50. It ranked 44th. Known for showcasing South Indian cuisine with a twist of molecular gastronomy, it is led by chef Nikhil Nagpal.
