SUGAR Cosmetics CEO Vineeta Singh dismissed persistent rumours pertaining to her death, revealing that despite taking several measures such as contacting Meta and complaining to Mumbai police, fake news of her death continued to get published on online platforms.
Writing on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, Singh spoke about how "the hardest part" was when her mother would get calls from others, after reading reports of her death and shared images of some stories, that suggested she had died, over the past few weeks.
"Been dealing with paid PR about my death & my arrest for 5 weeks. Ignored it at first, then reported to @Meta several times, filed @Mum_CyberPolice
complaint but it’s not stopping. The hardest part is when folks panic & call my mom. Few of the posts are below. Any suggestions?" Singh wrote on the social media platform.
