When OpenAI CEO Sam Altman took to X last week, seeking prompts from users to convert their text to video using a tool called Sora that the company is testing, he received an overwhelming response, with thousands of people sending their requests.
Among those who responded was “Peak Bengaluru”, a popular X account dedicated to all things about the startup capital of India.
The account, which amplifies and comments on quirky posts about Bengaluru, had a unique request for Altman: to generate a video depicting a fully completed version of the Ejipura flyover in the southern part of the city.
For nearly seven years, the unfinished flyover near the posh Koramangala locality, dubbed the "Bangalore Stonehenge" by users on Google Maps, has loomed over the city as a haunting symbol of urban planning gone awry.
“Fully completed Ejipura flyover with vehicle movement,” Peak Bengaluru wrote on X, commenting on Sam Altman’s post.

The post left the internet amused, with many users chiming in with their own Bengaluru-themed prompts for Sora, further fuelling the online banter.
Last July, a photo of the Ejipura flyover was viral after its street lights were installed on its pillars.
The flyover was meant to provide a much-needed link between Ejipura and Madiwala, easing traffic congestion and improving connectivity. However, since its commencement in 2017, there has been little progress on the project.
