‘Real-life hero’: Punjab man hangs from crane to rescue bird trapped in overhead wires, wins praise on internet

A video has gained wide attention on social media, showing a man risking his life to rescue a bird trapped in overhead wires. The clip shows the man hanging from a crane at a significant height while carefully freeing the bird, an act that has drawn praise online.

Multiple reports suggest that the incident took place in Punjab. However, Moneycontrol could not independently verify the exact date or location.

In the video, the man can be seen suspended high above the ground, holding onto the crane while leaning towards the wires where the bird is trapped. The bird appears to be struggling as it remains caught in the dangling wire near a lamppost.

Despite the obvious danger, the man remains calm and focused. Using a sharp object, he carefully cuts through the wire, taking great care not to hurt the bird or lose his own balance. Moments later, the bird is freed and flies away, while the man is safely pulled back towards the crane.
