Ritesh Agarwal on Monday visited the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya for the "pran prathistha" ceremony and took to social media to share that the energy at the event was "infectious".

The Oyo founder and CEO, who hails from Odisha, has been on a pilgrimage, visiting holy sites beginning from the Jagannath temple in Puri. He had promised to share updates on his visit to the historic Ram Temple.

"The gates are open! We're standing inside the temple grounds getting our first up-close look. The energy here is infectious- this is truly a historic moment! Chants and prayers can be heard as devotees stream in," Ritesh Agarwal wrote on X.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the much-anticipated "pran prathishtha" ceremony. The consecration marks a significant moment in India's cultural and religious history, drawing attention not only from the nation but also from global audiences.

“It is a matter of great privilege to be part of this divine programme,” the Prime Minister said on X. He made these remarks as he took part in the consecration ceremony of the idol of Ram Lalla in the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.

The 51-inch idol of Ram Lalla, carved by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, portrays Lord Ram as a five-year-old child standing on a lotus.
