Bumble is a dating app where people can swipe right to indicate interest

A Delhi man claims he saw a remarkable increase in his Bumble matches after changing his height to 190 cm (6 feet and 2 inches approximately) on the app. X user Aman shared the details of his social experiment in a post that is steadily going viral on the microblogging platform.

Bumble is an online dating app where users can see the profiles of other users and “swipe right” to indicate they are interested. If two users “swipe right” on each other’s profiles, the app calls it a match and the two can then have a conversation.

Aman, whose X bio states he is a software developer, claimed that he changed nothing in his Bumble profile except his height. This small change, he believes, is the reason he managed to get nine matches in a day.

“Changed my height to 190cm on Bumble as a joke. Got 9 matches in a day. Nothing else in my profile was changed,” he wrote.

His conclusion? “I've realised, you're not ugly, you're not poor, you're not unfunny, you're just short,” he said, clarifying that he has now changed it back to his real height.

Other X users shared their own experiences of how changing minor details on dating apps helped them get more matches.

“Changed my bio, wrote founder/ceo- fincap labs, bumble got flooded with matches,” wrote a user named Shashank Singh.

Several people suggested changing different variables to see how that affects matches
