A man from Maharashtra has finally passed his Class 10 board exams on his 11th attempt in an extraordinary tale of hard work and perseverance. After years of relentless effort and determination, Krishna Namdev Munde’s success story has ignited a wave of celebration and inspiration throughout his village in Beed. His success story is similar to the hit Hindi movie 12th Fail, based on the life of IPS officer Manoj Sharma, who cracked the UPSC exam on his fourth attempt despite having failed Class 12 on his first try.
Despite enduring the heartbreak of ten consecutive failures since 2018, Krishna's resolve never faltered. This year, his hard work paid off, proving that resilience and dedication can surmount even the most daunting obstacles.
“He has passed after 10 attempts in five years. But I kept submitting the fees, as I wanted to give him every opportunity,” said Krishna’s father, Namdev Munde, in an interview with NDTV, highlighting the unwavering support from his family.
Krishna, who attends Ratneshwar School in Parli taluka, had previously struggled with History in school. However, his persistence saw him successfully clear all his subjects this time around.
The announcement of the results by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) marked a joyous occasion for Krishna and his community, family and neighbours. His father organised a grand procession to celebrate, with villagers joining in, playing drums, and even lifting Krishna onto their shoulders in recognition of his achievement.
This year, the SSC (Class 10) results saw a 95.81 percent pass rate, with girl students outperforming boys by 2.56 percent. Approximately 15 lakh students took the exams, conducted from March 1 to 26, with a minimum passing requirement of 33 percent.
