Motorola’s all new budget smartphone goes on sale from February 22, 2024. Motorola has pitched the Moto G04 as one of the cheapest smartphones that comes with Android 14 out of the box. The Moto G04 lands at a price tag under Rs 7,000. Does it pack enough value for this affordable price tag?

Elegant design: it’s one of the best-looking smartphones at this price point, and therefore among the anticipated phone launches this year. The G04 weighs just 178 gm and is under 8mm thin, making it one of the lightest and slimmest phones in the segment. Moto G offers this device in four cool shades Concord Black, Sea Green, Satin Blue, and Sunrise Orange. The side-mounted fingerprint reader is cool; and the device is IP52-certified. Plus, it is geared for light spills and splashes.

Bright display: the G04 comes with a 6.6-inch punch-hole display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The High Brightness mode automatically adjusts the display outdoors so it’s easier to see, reaching peak brightness levels of up to 537 nits. There’s also a Night Light mode that tints the screen amber, making the display easier to view in dim lighting conditions. This display is backed by a massive 5000 mAh battery under the hood. The audio set up gets a boost with Dolby Atmos.

Moto G04 comes in four shades: Concord Black, Sea Green, Satin Blue, and Sunrise Orange.

Hardware highlights: a UNISOC T606 chipset combines with a choice of two hardware variants – 4GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB with support for a microSD card slot.
