  • Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit named nearly 1,000 times in Epstein files
  • She exchanged dozens of emails with Epstein, some described as flirtatious
  • Mette-Marit stayed at Epstein's Palm Beach home for four days in 2013

Following the release of the latest Jeffrey Epstein files on Friday, new revelations have surfaced almost every day. The document now reveals that Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, who married Crown Prince Haakon of Norway in 2001, was mentioned nearly 1,000 times. They also revealed that she has extensive contact with Epstein and had even discussed whether it was appropriate to have a wallpaper of naked women in her 15-year-old son’s room with a convicted sex offender.

According to the document, Mette-Marit and Epstein exchanged dozens of emails between 2011 and 2014.

Mette-Marit was a commoner before marrying Prince Haakon. She has a son, Marius Borg Hoiby, from her earlier relationship, who has been accused of the rape of four women. Marius Hoiby’s upcoming trial and the latest Epstein files drop have pushed the Norway’s royal family into the unwelcome public spotlight.

The latest release of nearly three million Epstein files had several mentions of Mette-Marit. The document showed that the Crown Princess of Norway exchanged several emails with the disgraced financier, some of which bordered on flirtatious.

‘Naked women’ wallpaper for her son

Among the emails, widely covered by Norwegian media, was Mette-Marit discussing her son with Epstein for him to have wallpaper showing two naked women.

“Is it inappropriate for a mother to suggest two naked women carrying a surfboard for my 15-year-old son's wallpaper?” Mette-Marit asked Epstein.

“Let them decide, mother should stay out of it,” Epstein replied.

The exchange took place in November 2012, when Mette-Marit’s son, Marius Hoiby, was just 15. He is 29 today.

As reported by The Guardian, Mette-Marit said on Saturday thatshe felt “deep sympathy and solidarity” with Epstein’s victims and said she was responsible “for not having checked Epstein’s background more closely and not understanding quickly enough what kind of person he was”.

The emails also showed that Mette-Marit had stayed for four days at Epstein’s house in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2013, while Epstein was not there.

The report spread rapidly across social media platforms, with users expressing shock and criticism.

One user wrote, "She continued meeting with him years after his crimes were revealed."

Another X user commented, "This isn't just about a personal relationship, it's about the integrity of a public institution. The Norwegian monarchy needs to address this transparency and clarify her level of involvement."

A third user said, "Unhappy with her marriage and flirting with a psychopathic man because she wanted to be one of his victims and feel special."
