With Signing of Don 3, Brand Kiara Advani Goes from Strength to Strength

Kiara Advani, who is already rumoured to be part of the YRF Spyverse, has now joined the much-anticipated reboot of one of Hindi cinema’s oldest franchises.

On February 20, Farhan Akhtar, the man behind the reboot of Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic Don, shared a post on his social media, announcing the inclusion of Kiara Advani in the upcoming production of Don 3.

We already know Ranveer Singh will take on the heavy mantle of playing a character that has already been essayed by two of this country’s generational superstars – Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. The announcement that Kiara Advani has joined the project comes on the heels of unmitigated success for an actress who has found that perfect balance between meaningful and mainstream.

Advani really broke through with the unexpected success of Kabir Singh, but it was in Karan Johar’s short from Lust Stories, where she really shone as an actress willing to take risks. Her ability to straddle the superficial expectations of a mainstream heroine, with the density of a craft that more often than not can be overlooked for her beauty, makes her unique. Her eccentric role in the gritty Netflix thriller Guilty, coupled with the domesticity of the hit Jug Jugg Jeeyo to the near perfect romantic rhythms of the romance in Shershaah, Advani’s presence and purview has grown manifold.

Advani, who in February 2023 got married to Siddharth Malhotra, her co-star from Shershaah, seems to be benefitting from both fortune and finesse. She is rumoured to be part of War 2, the much-expected follow-up to the breakout film of the YRF franchise. With the announcement of Don 3, possibly the most attractive IP on offer in Hindi cinema, Kiara Advani’s net worth, her prospects and the horizon of what she can achieve as an actress, seems to only have tripled.
