Bollywood star Deepika Padukone once again won hearts with a touching moment during a recent meet-and-greet event in Mumbai, where her warm interaction with a fan’s mother moved the woman to tears. The heartfelt exchange, captured in a fan’s Instagram video, has been widely shared and praised on social media.
The event, held on January 4, was a special gathering arranged by Deepika for her admirers as she approached her 40th birthday celebrations. Fans from across India were invited to the intimate session, where they could interact with the actor and receive personalised gifts.
In the Instagram video, a fan shared how his mother felt touched when Deepika kindly held her hand and invited her to sit next to her. He captioned, "Universe, my stars, or my good karma — whatever you call it — Deepika Padukone invited me once again for a very special, intimate meet and greet. This happened for the 4th time, yet jitna mile, utna hamesha kam hi lagta hai (no matter how many times we meet, it feels less)."
The fan added, "This time, I took my mom along with me. Staying with me, she also slowly became a fan of Deepika. When I told her that we were going to meet Deepika, she said, 'Chal, khota bolu nakos (Don’t lie), Evdhya vela bhetalas, mala kadhi nahi melas (You met her so many times, but never took me along)'. But when she actually met Deepika, she was completely stunned."
"She was almost in tears when DP held her hand. She was literally lost in that moment — and when Deepika thanked her for the gift, my mom couldn’t hold back her emotions. The meet-and-greet was more than a typical fan event. According to attendees, Deepika’s team had organised considerable travel arrangements, including flight tickets for fans and heavily curated gift hampers worth around ₹15,000 each, making the experience deeply personal and memorable.
Deepika is currently gearing up for her next onscreen projects, including Shah Rukh Khan’s King and an AA22xA6 with Allu Arjun.
